MacPherson (East) - Five Horses Returning to the Manger
The well-known Kallang River receives its water from five different hilltop sources, with the five tributaries combining to form a white crocodile den.
The tributary that was developed the earliest has since become the most peaceful. It started near Tai Sheng, flows past Balam Road and Circuit Road, buts through Aljunied Road and Jalan Kolam Ayer before meeting the other tributaries at Upper Boon Keng Road.
Like the other four tributaries, it is replete with mysterious feng shui features and is surrounded by many famous dens.
First and foremost, let use take a look at Circuit road. By mistake, some people call it white snake entering the gourd valley while others view it as the white snake confined in the coil dragon's den.
Five Horses Returning to the manger includes Aljunied in the east, Kolal Ayer in the west, MacPherson in the north, Kallang River in the South, and Genting Lane and Tannery Road in the centre. It is a famous light-industry area.
This formation is good and must have water and pastures in its vicinity. also the five horses can come from the same or different directions before eventually meeting. It is favourable for enhancing one's reputation, status and leadership qualities. With such support, it is no wonder that after News Centre moved here, Singapore's Chinese dailies have managed to develop and improve their positions.
It is favourable for buildings on five horses returning to the manger land to have predominantly blue grass and blue and black colour schemes. Having water features inside or outside you home will bring forth the benefits of this formation. It is a common sight to see small entrepreneurs progressing to become big entrepreneurs or landlords. Such is the special effect of the five horses returning to the manger.
Upper Boon Keng road is another area with favourable feng shui. In feng shui, this land is known as white egret searching for food. This area was developed fairly early and was the location of the famous Nan Yi Rubber Factory.
When searching for food, the egret has to keep its head low to spot fishes along the shores. It has to have goals, be hardworking and patient. When the opportunity comes knocking, the egret will spread its wings and fly to greater heights.
Similarly, people working in this industrial estate should seize the opportunity when it arises. Meanwhile, they should be patient and look out for chances that might come their way.
