Kranji (Central)

Kranji Singapore Turf Club - Inverted Gourd Land

Thirteen years ago, I proclaimed the feng shui of Kranji and Woodlands Checkpoint as a gourd possessing the power to suck, draw, reap, obtain, enter, close and seal -somewhat akin to the characteristics of a gambling den.

Years later, the Singapore Turf Club selected a plot of land at Kranji for the new Turf Club, validating my prediction. The golden treasure basins of Kranji Turf Club and Bukit Timah Turf Club have their respective strengths and weaknesses.

The feng shui of Bukit Timah Turf Club consisted of an exchange of flowing qi. In feng shui, this is related to an academic setting as the generated force is slow.lt is also symbolic of balance in gains and losses.

On the contrary, the force of the gourd at Kranji is strong. It is related to a martial setting symbolising victory, power and notoriety for total annihilation. Besides, the design of the Kranji Turf Club resembles a gourd, thus not auguring well for its punters. The best way to counteract the qi of the gourd is to place one's bets wisely and to avoid obsession. Kranji Turf Club was opened in September 1999. That year was deemed inauspicious for the club and it was predicted that initially, unpleasant incidents will occur. True enough, it ran into trouble on its opening day, grappling with an embarrassing power failure.
