Caldecott Hill (South)

Caldecott Hill (South) - While Tiger Fighting Winged Snake

MacRitchie Reservoir is Singapore's theird largest heavenly pool. It is a delightful place with pristine water and tranquil scenery, and can be considered a paradise. In the past, not only was it a favourite haunt of tourists, but also the main source of water for Singapore.

There is a famous old cemetery in this area known as Bukit Brown Chinese cemetery. Many way heroes, like Lim Bo Seng, and several Qing Dynasty officials are buried here.

MacRitchie Reservoir is a catfish den. The catfish is an active, slippery creature with a poisonous spike on its head. People operating in this area must be very careful.

Caldecott Hill and Bukit Brown - White Tiger Fighting Winged Snake

The former Bukit Brown Chinese Cemetery is a snake land. This is a winged snake, also known as a water snake. This winged snake is strong, quiurky and loyal. All this while, the water snake and the green snake from Lornie Road near MacRithie Reservoir have been protecting our three reservoirs, ensuring the water does not flood the city and that there is sufficient water for consumption. Unfortunately, the winged snake does not like to lead an uneventful life.

MediaCorp is situated at Caldecott Hill, which belongs to the land of the while tiger. This is a hunting tiger, an awesome, unstoppable creature. To take advantage of such a situation, one must make swift and bold moves in one's career so as to bring out the while tiger's nature. MediaCorp did just that and so, has gone on to gain worldwide recognition in a short span of time.

This is a fierce tiger, and when provoked by the winged snake, fights will break out. Whenever these two formidable beasts fight, the inexplicable murders will occur, especially in the years of the tiger and of the snakes as can be seen from past occurrences.

Residents will usually suffer from stress due to the magnetic force of the feng shui here. It is thus important that they look after their health, learn to relax and keep and open mind. Doing so will earn them blessing of feng shui.

Residents should also refrain from fixing too many mirrors around the house or suing light colours, especially brown. At the same time, houses facing 240 degrees southwest or with an occupant born in the year of monkey will require extra attention from its occupants.

The winged snake is a poisonous white snake. It will not attack unless provoked. If goaded, it will definitely strike back. When challenged by the while tiger, it will react very violently, As such private residential buildings here should not be built too tall and instead, should preferably have more greenery and ponds to defuse hot tempers and contribute to peaceful, gracious living.

Being low-lying and near to the reservoir, this district is damp and the residents are susceptible to rheumatism. This area is suitable for ministers, senior administrators and government offices. However, businessmen living here will see their luck fluctuate unless they perform social work in their spare time.

There is a section of Thomson that is not noticed by many. It is tucked away within the boundaries of Seletar, Peirce and MacRitchie Reservoirs and Upper Thomson Road. This area has many private residential areas and gold courses. It faces Bukit Panjang, cut off from it by a nature reserve.

According to feng shui, this area can be divided into several sections. The section near Peirce Reservoir is known as elephant sucking in water, the section near Bukit Panjang rhinoceros admiring the moon, the section near MacRitchie a mudskipper land, and the section between Bukit Timah Expressway and MacRitchie Reservoir a green snake land. This area has the same influence as Pasir Panjang's four animal combination. Those four beasts - eagle, snake, tiger and leopard - are guardians of Singapore's psychological well being, while the four beasts here take charge of Singapore's water supply.

This area is relatively underdeveloped because these reservoirs are sources of water and life and must not be contaminated. However, this area will, without doubt, become a high-class residential and leisure area. In addition to the 36 holes of the Singapore Island Country Club, an influx of European influence means that residential facilities will eventually be built on the grounds of the golf club.

Residents here should place their careers about leisure, followed by charity work. This area benefits businessmen in the high-tech manufacturing industry who desire international recognition.
