Yio Chu Kang - Unique Five Talents Formation

Yio Chu Kang was once a bustling village. In the 1970s, it only had a narrow cement road known as Yio Chu Kang Road

The road was divided into sections named eighth, ninth, lOth milestone and so on. The lOth milestone was the busiest of all as it was lined on both sides with schools like Yio Chu Kang Secondary School, Pei Hua Presbyterian Primary School and Kong Hwa School (the latter two have since shifted). Kids would gather from all over to attend school. Community centres, shops, clinics and coffeeshops are abound too.
