Punggol (East)

Punggol (East) - Crab Suppressed By Rock

Pig-rearing business brought Punggol fame, but in fact, the fates of pig farmers were not good and were as volatile as the tides in the sea.

Hairy Crabs are Impetuous

In the art of feng shui, Punggol is another of Singapore's crab land, but different from the ones at Mount Faber and Beach Road. This is a crab suppressed by rock land.

The crab here is a hairy crab which has drive, but is also impetuous and can get out of hand. The rock is unable to hold the crab down for long. It is believed that this crab will usually be suppressed for five years, after which it will be free for five years. Be on your guard during the period of suppression and attack in better times.

It was recorded in ancient books that the rock holding down the crab is round and smooth, with a large tree in front and a small stream by its side. If the rock is removed, the crab will wander off.

Due to the influence of ground qi, Punggol's fate will be subjected to periodic ups and downs.

When the government first unveiled the blueprint for Punggol 21, many people were taken aback. It was unbelievable that a place previously used for pig and chicken farming could be developed into a premier residential estate.

However, if flying star feng shui was used to predict this situation, it will not be so surprising. The next flying star will be Fortune 8 that stretches from 2004 to 2014, which coincidentally favours the northeast sector. This is the reason for the developments in Punggol, which is located in the northeast of Singapore.

Another reason can be gleaned from Punggol's crab suppressed by rock formation. Although the crab will be released every five years, no one is sure how long it will remain free. It can be for 20 or 100 years.

The rock is near the sea, so when the tide rises the hairy crab will start moving. The fortunes of the residents here will have ups and downs just like the tide. In order to maintain one's luck, one must be able to make timely and appropriate investments without being too greedy. Water is the most favourable element for this sector, hence, the more water the better.

An island off Punggol, Pulau Serangoon, is believed to be the rock that pins down the hairy crab. Although this crab has only one pincer just like the one at Mount Faber, it is less powerful. However, its power is greater when compared to the crab at Kiung Chow Hwee Kuan.
